Welcome in Koolunga, South Australia - 12.04.11

Hello everyone

After spending a week at St Andrews,I'm back on the road. I first returned to Melbourne to take the nigt bus to my new destination: Koolunga, South Australia. Starting at 20.15, arriving at 6.30 am in Adelaide and the time change again...! I gain another 30 min so, now I have 7.30h difference with you, friends in Europe. But don't believe it's the ne dof my trip, no, no, I must take a bus at 8.30am, which will drive me to Koolunga. I wait, I take an expensive hot chocolate and make some cross words without understanding any English definitions... Finally, my bus is here, I leave and I can hardly keep my eyes open.

I finally get to Redhill, completly deserted little town where I'l waiting for Ali who pick me up. Here she somes, we leave for 20-30 min drive. And finally, we arrive. I discover a town with 150 inhabitants, with only one main street, a pub, a mechanics and... that's it! The house where I'm going to live is an old general store that Ali and Lionel are slowly renovating. Everything is very different from what I've experienced until now.

Ali and Lionel are aborigines. And writers (pets). They tell me about their books, poems. In their place, there are dozens and dozens of books, books everywhere, in the office, in the bedroom, in the living room... A real delight! The main theme is Aboriginal culture: their origins, traditions, medicine, art, writers, singers, actors, known people... I fell I'll learn a lot here...
